    Cool engine heater...

    how does it work?? and what kind of amp draw are we talking about..

    Plug it in and it will draw around 10 Amps

    thanks onebigdoOd..but i was wondering exactally what it heats...when i use mine, i notice theres no glow plug indicator on the dash...

    also as a side, you and i maybe neighboors, im looking to move to eureka montana......see ya.

    It's a heating element in the lower block coolant jacket, between the cylinders. Kinda' like a coffee maker. It heats the coolant, which, in turn, heats the block and heads.

    If that is happening the antifreeze temp is hot enough to not need the glow plugs. (Like when you restart in the summer) It only needs to be plugged in for about 5 hours at -30 to be effective. More than that and you are just paying your hyrdo man.
