Have you seen this?
I had this truck in the shop the other day. It was knocking and banging like crazy! The cause was the #8 injector. I had replaced the injectors about 20,000 miles ago. S/M said to replace defective one only and see what happens. I did. All is good. the truck is really in need of some maintenance though.
