    Unhappy Torque settings?

    Hi, nice to meet you all, and I hope you can help me. I have a Landrover fitted with a 6.2 diesel which has a cracked head, I have bought a factory recon head, new rings, big end bearings, and gaskets and am about ready to re assemble but I cant find torque settings for big ends, head bolts etc etc, please please please can anyone here help me? If so there is a big ice cold beer waiting here for anyone who can, you just have to collect it!! Thanks in advance guys....Mart

    I guess you have the engine out of the truck?

    The rod caps are 50 ft. lbs torque.

    For the cylinder heads, you'll need the pattern.

    The head bolts get torqued 20 ft. lbs, then 50 ft. lbs, then 90 degrees...

    Glad to help

    I'll see about getting the torque pattern on the cylinder heads, there is a sequence to follow. Usually there is a little slip of paper that comes with the new head gaskets that has this on it.
