OK, there is a port on the smaller of the two lines, but none on the suction side that I can find.

There should be 2 fittings close together on the same small line, with a connector between them. The orifice is installed in the connector. Before the connector/orifice is the high side, after is the low side. The connector you want for charging is after the orifice, closest to the evaporator (firewall), over the accumulator. The one next to the battery (high side) won't work, and can blow the hose/can, but it shouldn't fit the coupler. A DIY charge kit will have a coupler that will only fit the low side. The two lines going into the firewall are the inlet/outlet to the evaporator. The smaller line is the inlet, and the larger is the outlet.

The orifice is the Hi/Low dividing point.
