recently bought a 95 3500 4x4 with a 6.5 is there any cold air intakes available for these? Seems like looking for a needle in a haystack. Also is it possible to turn the pumps up on these motors without buying a chip have heard conflicting reports from people.

    Welcome to the Forums!

The best intake you can do is the 1997+ OEM. Much better than what you have now. It is as "cold air" as any aftermarkets. I've seen no performance/reliability gains to be had from any of the aftermarkets. The OEM won't budge the "cool meter", but they work as well as any.

    The pump.....
No. It is electronically controlled, and requires electronic adjustment to change the performance. The earlier DB pumps (mechanically operated) could be wrenched, but you don't have that on the 1995. A good chip is better than just turning a screw on a mechanical pump. Reliable performance is more than just turning up the fuel volume. There are many options to help the performance of your truck. The best suggestion I can make is to read what's already been discussed here. Read all the sticky's, articles and recent posts.
