Default 1983 6.2 burban, WONT START!

This truck was a daily driver. it was parked for some time, went to jump in it and go. it started...and then stalled imediately...can not get it to restart. It cranks over fine. I tried spaying some starter fluid but still no luck. Any ideas?? Thanks

First, do NOT use regular starting fluid in a diesel.

I'd check and make sure you don't have air in the lines. Crack the lines (just loosen them slightly, do not take them all the way off) where they attach to the the injectors and crank the engine. You should get fuel dripping from the lines. When you see fuel, tighten the lines and try to start it.
