Talking How to make a Kodiak look small...

...put a great big boat behind it.

60' long, 11'6" wide, 32K# all behind 6.6L LB7 and an Allison 1000 automatic. Boat was insurance salvage, engines/outdrives and radar arch were carried on the truck, making this haul possible on a stub axle, air-ride trailer with only four 3840#, 14ply lowboy tires under it. Trailer axles scaled at 14K#, truck axles at 18K#.

It actually pulled really nice, averaged about 9mpg. With the bow of the boat down, the airstream over the top of the Kodiak cab 'slid' right over the foredeck of the boat, and only encountered a small windshield. Some of the cabin cruisers towed this summer felt like a HUGE airbrake...
