6.5 Engine Knocking Noise

QUESTION:

- Can bad injectors cause a noise that sounds like a knock, like a problem with the rod end bearings?

Would appreciate some input.

If your Diesel engine is making a noise that would be like a rod in a gasser, 99% of the time it's an injector, or at least fuel delivery related. That is not to say Diesel engines don't lose rods. If that happens, it is usually pretty catastrophic, and the noise is the smaller indicator.
