I went through this senario a couple of years ago and a couple of the originals here saved my butt after I had the trans out once and at least three new master cylinders on it. The pivot point on the arm in the bell housing had worn nearly through and the effective travel of the pedal was reduced quite a bit. I did not believe the suggestion that this was the problem until I saw it first hand but the dealer said that they stock the arm and ball as it is fairly common! I was doing the labor myself and would hate to have paid someone to misdiagnose the problem (like I was). Good luck and let us know how it goes.Jeff
P.S. I had never seen this on any zoom cars which is why I was suspicious of this cause of my problem.
