    Question 2002 3500 duramax 6700 or 15900?

I found a 2002 Duramax with a flood title. They don't think it got into interior, but seats don't work. The # 4 cylinder is dumping fuel 10X more than others and it smokes black smoke. It only has 76000 miles and it. It is a 4X4 Xtendcad Dually and only $6700. It also has a novice repair to the pass dually fender? I also found a 2002 dually CC 6.6 with 96000 on it, 4X4 LT for $15900 good car fax and nice truck.

First off, I am no mechanic! I in my younger and dumber days bought a "flood" truck (gasser) and had nothing but trouble! Water does nasty things to a truck. And I tend to not believe people who say something like "it didnt get into the interior". It got up high enough to devalue the truck, it most likely was into the interior. Cheap now, expensive ongoing headache in the future. Just my 2cents.

As for the #4. The knowledgeable people here will fill you in, it sounds like and injector???? Maybe covered under warranty??? Wonder what Chevy would say about the water issue if it was bad injectors eligible for the warranty?

Got the VIN number of the flood truck? I'll run a viss on it. My quess is that it has no warranty left. GM usually voids the warranty on vehicles like that.

I'll see what I can get. I think it's probably not going to be covered.

Parts only is how I would look at it. If it was started with water in cylinder, it could have hydrolocked and bent a rod.

    Parts.
