    Post 95 3500HD 6.5 wont start

    I have fuel 2 ip but none to injectors. I,ve been reading everything for 3 days . Can't find out how to troubleshoot ip. Been down 1 week with bucket truck. New pmd .Soon to be relocated. Worked fine when i parked it but my dumb a** Left interior light on and killed battery, charged completely now. Strong crank,but won't put fuel to injectors

    Is the glow plug light coming on? or just flashing on then off. Please fill out your signature so we can see what your rig has mods,miles,ect. Good luck

    The gp light comes on for the same amount of time as before. Nothing seems different . I have power to my pmd on a heat sink mounted near the intake , soon to be elsewhere.The truck started easily before, even in the winter befor the gp light went out . Temp was hot last week sw Fl.

    Make sure the fuel shut off solenoid up on top of the IP is clicking when you turn the key on.
    If it is working then the PMD may have died.

    New PMD solenoid test? the thing that looks like a cilinder on top has power and sounds but weak, not very strong or loud. Where can i find a diagram of the IP? It seems like it is electrical IP problem. 1st diesel but i am mecanical . btw thank you for being here for the info

    Code 19 and 49 on dash. Cam position sensor? Where is that ? need diagram Help someone .

    It's not really a cam sensor. It's the optical sensor inside the pump. Try unplugging the optical sensor and see if it will start. It'll start slower and not have full performance, but it should run.

    Have you fixed it yet. Having similar problem with my truck. Can anyone tell me where the optical sensor is.
    1995 3500 dually excab.<br />stock i believe.

    It's inside the injection pump. THIS ARTICLE describes it very well, as well as some excellent photos and drawings.
