    Default Biodeisel Blends

    What is the difference between B5, B11, B99, B100 etc......? I am looking onto a 2007 LBZ 65,000 miles and I am curious what everyone thinks about Bio? From what I have read GM says you can use B5 without voiding warrenty.

    Arrow

    B = BioDiesel

    # = % of the mix.

    B5 = 95% #2 Diesel + 5% BioDiesel.
    B10 = 90% #2 Diesel + 10% BioDiesel.

    The reason you see B99 so often is that the manufacturers get bigger tax incentives for blended fuels, so the save money by adding that 1% petro diesel.

    The .gov says B99 is more worthy of tax breaks than B100.

    Common sense, never an issue when it comes to taxation!
