I have a 1988 chevy 2500 with a 350 im looking at a 6.2 L diesel in a 1988 chey also but the body and fram are in rough shape my chevy has a 700r4 trans and my truck is 4 whel drive will this motor bolt up to my trans and im not very fimiluar with the wireing on these motors how much of a pain is it to change it over from gas to the diesel motors

Default i did that in an 86.

if you have a donor vehicle the swap isnt that hard the 6.2 will bolt up to your tranny and motor mounts. other than that try to notice the little things that would be different. and i would stay with 6.2 cooling system.

yea but the tranny that is in the truck is a th350 with a 208 transf case, i was told it might not take the extra power from the 6.2L. i can get a 700r4 for next to nothing, but i would rather not spend the extra money if i dont have to.
