    Default Front Brake Squeaking

I only have 6,000 miles on my C4500 and the front squeak a little all the time.

GMC says I may have to live with it, they put anti-squeak lube on between the pads and calipers and it help a lot but it is not gone.

Your rotors/pads are probably glazed and/or improperly burnished. You can live with the squeak, or cross-hatch the rotors (and pads, if you wish). Do this with 100-150 grit sand paper on a block. Use a random swirling motion on both sides, not perfect circles or grooves. A lot of material doesn't need to be sanded off, just enough to rough it up with a random non-pattern you can feel with your fingers. Once done, do 4-5 "panic stops" from about 35 MPH, with 5-10 minutes between them for cooling. This should properly burnish the rotors. This also helps prevent or reduce rotor warpage and surging later on.
