I have either option open to me. What is the best way to run???

Which turbo system and trans ?

Right now going to run a banks turbo. Will most likely go with a larger (perhaps ATT) turbo in the future. Transmission right now is a th400. Will be going to a 5 speed (NV4500) in the future.

I have a Banks with a van serp setup . The turbo is very close to the alt with this setup . I also have been watching the ATT and don't know if that would fit with the serp setup or not . I also am toying with the idea of making an oval down pipe to get a full 4" exhaust system on my CC dually . Either way , you probably will need a custom exhaust on your truck as the crossover pipes are different for 2WD and 4WD .

I already have the banks crossover. My serp setup is from a '94 (i think?) and the alt is on the drivers side, the a/c is on the passenger side.
