    Default ABS - Again

After another winter of salt etc, I have the mystery ABS application when slowing and almost stopped. I've replaced both ABS sensors over the last few years. Actually just the LF sensor and the RF hub assembly with the sensor included.

My poor memory needs a jolt here though...how to tell which sensor it is that's bad. I strongly lean towards the LF because the RF hub is only 3 or so years old and the LF sensor was done prior to that meaning it's at least that old.

Just as the truck is stopping, the ABS activation is initiated and the truck pulls to the right slightly, telling me the LF caliper is cycling.

    Thoughts?

    Thanks.

    Sounds like the LF sensor.

The way that I would proceed is to hook up a Tech 2 and drive watching the speed sensors and see if the one falls out quicker than the other. This was a common and simple fix with the older CK trucks. Just pull the sensor scrub the rust off the surface where the sensor tab mounts, smear with dielectric grease and reassemble.
