    Default 2002 GMC 2500HD Front Axle Hubs-Need help!!!!!!!

    I had to replace the two front axle hubs one the front of my '02 Gmc 2500 HD 4x4. I cant find anywhere to get a straight answer on some torque specs for the axle nut or the four bolts that hold the hub to the steering knuckle. I called 4, yes 4, different GMC dealer service centers and got 4 different answers. I got axle nut answers between 48 ft-lbs and 220 ft/lbs and the hub bolts between 55 ft/lbs and 148 ft/lbs. If anyone could help out or point me in the right direction I would greatly appriciate it.

    Have a look at THIS THREAD, post #6. The values are specific to your truck, not some mechanic's guess.
