    Default 05 4.7l dodge dakota diesel swap

    I have a 05 dodge dakota 4.7l 6speed manual tranny, 4 door 2x4, and i want to do a diesel swap. I know i will have to do alot of work on suspension and axles.. etc etc..but i dont know of any specs for size or engine.. i want to beable to atleast be pushing 1ooo hp out of the egine.. any help?.. this is a pic of my truck, if not here plz click link

    Welcome to the board!

    I assume you're considering the Cummins 5.9L. I don't have the dimensions for the engine, but I do know it's a long engine that'll likely require you to modify the firewall/transmission tunnel to get it in a Dakota.

    Default 5.9 cummins is a long one

    my poor eye site remembers measuring a 5.9 for a Ford it was 38" long
    putting the belhousing in the front seat
