Default egr blockoff plate causing check engine light

Has anyone gotten any check engine codes besides no egr flow when using an egr blockoff plate?
    - Just recently began using a predator tuner and had some turbo bark, checked and found that an egr blockoff plate would help reduce turbo bark. since installing the egr blockoff have been getting maf sensor codes and one low boost code popping up constantly. I also removed my cat soon after installing the egr blockoff, but got the codes before killing the cat I would expect the egr code, but the others have me worried... good news is no turbo bark (so far) Any info would be great, thanx!

Actually, the turbo bark was a product of the older version OE tuning. Probably worsened with the Predator.

Blocking or tampering with the EGR will definitely set codes and some will set SES light and reduce power.

I have some pretty detailed notes on my Tech Tips:

You may be able to band-aid the codes, but the boost code may be a product of the ECM tuning.

Looking at your signature I'd say that you need to rid yourself of the EGR one way or another. A functional EGR greatly reduces the effectiveness of added boost by adding more EGR flow.

Back in the day we used to band aid lesser chips with Boost Sticks and Fingers Sticks simply because that is all we had. Now we do it all (and MUCH better I might add) in the ECM programming.
