    Default 6.2 Land Rover

    Hey guys,

    Running a '95 Discovery I, 5-speed R380, with a mil-spec 6.2L sitting on OME XHD (3") and an ARB/Warn xD 9000. 3" pipe from header, 1 mid-mounted muffler. Axles are the equivalent of Dana 44.

It pulls this Rover really, really well. Looking forward to learning more about this motor!

    Pics and video:

    Video of it running

Conversion was done by Deutsch American out of Ijamsville, MD, using Marks' 4x4 of Australia adapter kit.

Runs really well. Very fun to drive.

Nice rig. I like that little short brown cb antenna on the back bumper!

What are the hood dimensions on a Discovery? That seems to be smaller than the Jeep and Land Cruiser swaps you see with the 6.2/6.5 engines.

I know this is an old thread, but I've got an '00 Disco II with 25% comp on Cyl 1. Hoping its a valve or spring or rocker, but if not, I have a '95 Suburban 6.5 TD with a bad frame. 1+1....

What transmission are you running? How hard was getting the 6.2 in? 6.5 TD is similar. My '95 6.5TD has 110k miles. Would love to swap it but would like to hear more about what it took to do this.

    Thanks,
    Jon
