Yep. I made a trip into town this afternoon and noticed the fuel prices. For the first time since I can remember (not really), gas was more than #2. $4.599 for regular, $4.509 for Diesel. Indications are it will go up some more. It's our own fault, for allowing our leaders to refuse new refineries over the last 30 years. When they operate at full capacity, all the time, what happens when one, or two, or three go down? Now we know.

I was tired and half asleep when I posted. Should have been $0.54 jump over nite accross the board, gas and fuel prices.

I'd been seeing things around $4.15 to $4.29, so when I saw $4.09 at a local station on Wednesday I tanked up.

The issue of refineries is a complicated subject. Ever tighter environmental regulations force some to shut down or prevent new ones from being built. Some refineries have either been closed or mothballed to balance (manipulate) regional retail fuel prices. So, the blame goes to both government and oil companies.

And these same causes have also increased tire prices!! Need a new set of 35 inchers for the Sub. $1000 for the Nitto Terra Grapplers. Wholly tire burning smoke! Not what I paid 5 years ago. I can't complain about the Terra Grapplers I have now as I'm right at 74k miles on the set.
