    Angry Water Pump Glitch

Just installed new pump on the truck today, or should I say 2 pumps on the truck today. Seems the Napa Lifetime pump had a casting problem originating in China. Upon installation It was noticed that the alternator bracket wouldnt clear the water passage casting on that side of the pump. It is apparent that while looking okay up to that point the water passage was about 1/2 inch to high and the bracket could not seat on the studs.
Dissasembled and got a replacement fom Napa "Federal". pump bolted up fine. Napa has no explanation.
So check your pumps on the bench for bracket fit and save yourself some time.

    Good heads up post.

Shame the worlds business model thinks its cheaper to:ship over, ship back and retool, rebuild, reship than to employ workers in north america.
