    I have a 93 6.5
    Does anyone know what the alternator output should read @ Idle and also @ 2000 RPMS ?

    Volts and Amps Please

    100 or 105 amps depending on alt, 14.5 volts. Shouldn't vary within the 2k range.

    Billy,

    Alternators are rated for full load at some RPM.
    At idle with a 100 load box, i would be surprised if you see over 60 amps. At 2000 rpm you should see the full 100 that you are pulling.

    Thanks Guys
    I'm getting a reading of 14.20 volts and 103 amps.


    the truck has been sitting for awhile soo it was hard to crank, the batterys were just a little low on charge.
