Are you replacing a muffler, the exhaust system, or just trying to lessen loudness or drone? Consider a resonator with any of the above to tame extremes and retain performance.

I agree with Maverick 100%
There are really nice resonator / TIPS available that will kill the bark and not bother performance......
A turbo diesel is usually no too hard to quiet down....as the turbo kills much of the nasty noise.
