Might as well buy 4 and get the maximum discount...

Is there any adjustment or bent parts that may contribute to the failures?

    What "broke"?

This was the first item on my brand new 2001 that broke, when it was only a few weeks old. Replaced under warranty, and remains unbroken (well, until I just now said that). My son's 2007 Classic broke one a few weeks ago. His first. In both cases, "broken" meant the handle retracted to a closed position, no longer propped open for an easy grab, but still worked as before, just slightly less convenient. My son opted to not replace it, until it actually quits working. Unless you knew how it was supposed to work originally, you probably wouldn't know it was broken.

The best I can figure, according to my original experience, as well as my son's, is the handle stop tab that holds it in the ready position, is weak. Using the handle and letting it rebound back to its ready position may break that little tab. I made that assumption when mine broke, so I don't do that. When I use the handle, I release it easily back to the stop, preventing it from snapping back.

If yours are breaking in another way, sorry, can't help.

door wont open when mines broke , you have to use the handle on the inside....best I can figure its a design flaw , sharp corner where a radius should of been helpful...Ill JB weld some strength on the next one...

The plastic control rod clips on the tailgate latches are the only plastic parts that have failed on my 2001. I've had to repair/replace the clips a couple of times. So far, I've not had a problem with door handles/latches. But, thanks for the information. May come in handy...
