The new vacuum pump that I just received did not come with the gasket that fits between the shaft of the pod and the engine.

Does anyone have a part number for this gasket (I have never even seen it, I do not know if it is an o-ring or flat gasket). Can I just use RTV to make a new gasket

Me, too. I just cut one out of gasket material and seems to have worked now for 2 years. I don't understand why they don't include one. Anybody know something better?

I beleive there is supposed to be an O-ring that fits between the pump shafthousing and the block in the angeled side off the hole in the block.

I have to check to be sure but RTV or O-ring will both hold the oil in and the dirt out.
