Depents on the size and RPM off the donor engine.
Its all about gas flow, so a very big turbo would be slow in response and will probably not give much boost if you feed it not enough exhaust gasses.
Too small spins right up but chokes the engine in both its exhaust and intake.
Displacement X RPM : 2 gives you a theoretical geas flow for the engine.
Comparing the both engines this way gives you an idea about how it will work.
Not exactly science but its works to roughly estimate the performace off the turbo.
