I have a 4L60E Transmission behind a 6.2 non turbo. The transmission is from a gas application is there any difference between the gas application and the diesel? Also will a gas convert work with my diesel providing the stall speed is correct? What would be a good all around stall speed? I really need some help on this. Thanks guys jmariner@minot.com

Stock stall is around 1400, and that works really well for most on-road applications, but when off-road, you'll see the value of a lower stall speed. I use a 1200 stall converter, and I couldn't be happier.

A gas converter will work, but the stall speed won't be optimal. There are a number of guys that have done this conversion, and stuck with their gas converters. I would go the extra mile and get a new heavy duty diesel converter with brazed fins.
