While tracking down and eliminating fuel line leaks, I noticed that the fitting at the injection pump on the line from the secondary filter to the injection pump on my 83 6.2 has been shadetree engineered. Does anyone know what size this line SHOULD BE? Mine appears to be 1/4" Line with a metric threaded fitting. EXCEPT... Someone seems to have used 3/16 line and put a really big flare on the end to make the 1/4" fitting hold up (along with a huge gob of red silicone).

Note: This is the number one argument for buying NEW trucks... you know that you are the ONLY idiot that has modified them!

1/4" is the correct size pipe for fuel inlet to the pump. The ID is actually .170" +/- .005" at the hose end and .190" +/- .005" ID at the flared end on the examples I have in front of me.
