Hi Gang! Newbie intro: Just bought a running used 6.2 out of an 87 chevy 1 ton 2wd (78,000 miles) to swap into my toyota land cruiser fj60 wagon. I'm going to pull the oil pan and heads and inspect things before I drop it in. A good engine manual would be helpful, recommendations? I plan to spend a lot of time reading here before I start posting a bunch of typical newbie questions, but anyone who has tips or whatever on my adventure, please post away. More as it comes up, Alan

    Welcome!

The Haynes Techbook: ISBN: 156392188X, Diesel Engine Repair Manual "General Motors and Ford, Light Trucks, Vans, Passenger Cars" - 10330.

The 6.2L/6.5L Diesel Removal & Replacement Guide available by order from The DieselPage reprints.

The CUCV Military manuals contain excellent information on every aspect of the 6.2L engine, including detailed info on the fuel system:

    TM 9-2320-289-34
    TM 9-2320-289-34P (parts reference)
    TM 9-2320-289-20
