I just picked up my new 6.5L engine from the shipper today. I am absolutely giddy!. The casting numbers are 12552929 which is a good block number. I bought it from DSG in Canada (our friends to the north). It comes with the stud girdles, timing gears and a mechanical IP pump turned up 1/4 turn. Yes that's right, it will also be getting a Banks Turbo. When I told DSG about this they went ahead a set me up with a 6.5L block with 6.5L turbo pistons. They said they have a thicker piston crown. I am expecting the Turbo kit to show up any day now. Then let the transplant begin.
I'm so happy, I had to tell someone. My wife looked at it and said "You spent $,$$$$.$$ for that?" I said, those are actually Canadian dollars, it's less when converted to USD.
