My 86, 6.2 1/2 ton 4wd sub is beginning to experience some changes in shifting at higher speeds. My 6.2 has about 72000 miles on it, Jasper remanfactured. The tranny was rebuilt at the time the engine was replaced. The truck has 265000 miles on it. I have the 700r tranny, and this problem is not keeping me off the road, its there! Seems like its the torque converter but open to suggestions. Just takes a little bit more effort to make the shift! Contemplating fixing this before it gets worse, and before the cold weather arrives up here in Minnesota

    Thanks

    What are the actual symptoms?

Too late or too early shifting? Have you checked the TV cable for correct adjustment? BowTie Overdrives has a very informative page on configuring the TV cable and correct shifting behavior.
