I'm new to the forum, but trying to keep a 1990 Suburban running with a 6.2L. The power steering pump went out and I messed up the pulley trying to get it off - a complete newbie diesel mistake on my part I'm sure. This is the old belt style, 2 track (AC) type.

And the part being discontinued makes things interesting.

Anybody know where I can find a replacement power steering pump pulley? I'm scrounging the salvage yards, but they tend to groan when I mention the truck and engine. Are there decent interchanges or fixes that would work? I noticed that a serpentine belt conversion was mentioned in another area - doable?

    Thanks,

    Greg

Found one in a salvage yard in Cleveland. Wow. Tough part to find.

I went to the the parts department at a dealership and ordered one. The price wasn't bad.
