Offroad/Agricultural "dyed" diesel vs Older non "ulsd" fuel. are they the same thing?

What is the difference between the two fuels if any?

-SC9 94' K2500HD 6.5T "F" 4x4, ext.cab Long bed, SRW, 5spd, Bone stock 200k orig miles.
