Not really sure where I should post this question, so hope I haven't upset anyone.

Can anyone tell me the location of the Welch/Welsh/Freeze/Casting sand emptying holes/plugs on both the iron and alloy blocks of a 6V53?
Specifically are there any in the bell housing area?
Are they steel or brass?

I am wondering whether or not there is a water leak into this area or if it is just a lot of condensation.

Am asking about both types of block for future reference.
