    Default Banks turbo egts

Just installed a Banks on my 6.2 and what a improvement. My question is the idle and driving egts are higher than what Banks says to look for, it idles at 300 and cruises at 600 I have not went over 900 but I also have never put it under any real load, does this sound like a no issue. I adjusted it 1/4 turn as instucted but I do not know if the IP was ever bumped up before I owned it.

I agree. Add to that, the fuel volume adjustment does not change idle volume. Injection timing will do more to change EGT's (good or bad) than all but WOT. Keeping heat in check is very important, but keep in mind, it is heat energy that drives the turbine, and greatly effects turbine efficiency. It's a delicate balance of heat and pressure, but the effective range is fairly forgiving.

Been running the Banks on my 6.5 for 6 years now. My EGT's are about the same as what you are getting, although on the hottest days (110 +) with the A/c on and cruising 75 they will be around 800.
