Default Coolant Crossover Replacement

Going to have to replace my coolant crossover pipe due to some damage that occurred during replacement of the thermostat (rusty seized bolts). Already have the replacement pipe. However I noticed the replacement pipe does not have the temperature sensor port so I will have to relocate my temperature sensor. Any ideas or suggestions on where to relocate to get the most accurate reading?
