Default 2003 Jeep TJ 6.2 Detroit Diesel swap.

Thought I would share a swap that I'm currently working on.
I'm in the process of installing a 6.2 in my Jeep.
Im still doing alot of research when it comes to what parts I will need to get the diesel running again.
All I currently have is a full dress 83 6.2, no wires or glo plug controller

I'm using Novak conversions for my swap parts, since the 6.2 has the same mounting location as a SBC, also using the Jeep NV3550 trans and a 208 transfer case.
I will post more as things progress.

I thought Detroit Diesels were 2 strokers?

Well I learned that my 6.2 is a red block, and have been reading up on all the stories about it.

To my knowledge the 6.2 diesel was designed by Detroit Diesel. And every real Detroit I have ever worked on was a two stroke.

He's just messing with you, but he's mistaken. DD made/makes a lot of 4-stroke Diesels.

I know, quite scarring the newbs.

    My experience with Detroit's was 4-53, 6-53, 6-71, 8-71, 12-92, and 16-92. And did they bark!
