    Default 2004 C4500 flatbed

Purchased this truck this morning. It is an LB7 - and I am SURE of that this time...

Hope to be valuable to other medium duty truck owners in the future as I learn more about them. Headed to San Diego this week, so will have ~4500 miles of observations by next week.

Congrads on your new purchase Mark. 19K is not new as the description says, but almost virgin for the Duramax. With the added 4.44 you should be able to install some 24.5 rubber (with new Alcoa's of course) to make it look like a real truck!

PS; If you are going or leaving San Diego via Las Vegas stop by and show me your new ride, I am just off the freeway. I have some GM 6.5, 6.2, 5.7 and 4.3 V-8 diesels you can look at.

PSS: Just remembered, I have two loose 24.5 tires on some 10 hole Alcoa's that you could mock up to see how it looks. Unfortunately they are stud piloted not hub piloted like your new rig.

I am going via Phoenix on other business, but might return that direction in a few weeks - will stay in touch.

The first 500 miles today went well. Tows nice, but no speed king with the small tires and 4.44. Looks like around 10mpg loaded at 62mph at 2000rpm average.

Hi Mark; looks like business is doing well for you now, what with two new rigs. Are these trucks 4X4 for snow removal? At any rate, they sure look good.

Thanks. The K3500 is 4x4, the C4500 is 2WD and will probably not see snow plowing duties.

Business has been steady, mostly trading up to stay within warranty coverage and get some tax advantage re depreciation.
