Default 6.5L Diesel To 350 Gas Engine Conversion

So basicly i have a 1997 or earlier chev 3500 with a 6.5 diesel and it has spun a bearing so the engine is scrap but i also have a 350 gas engine that i want to put in... im not looking for power or anything just for it to become a daily driver.. How hard is the conversion to do.. and i have a very tight budget because i am going to college.... if any one has any tips please let me know

Do you have any idea what sort of fuel economy a carbureted gas 350 will produce in that truck? Going gas will also require an aftermarket transmission control module and harness (about $800-$1000) if this truck is running a 4L80-E automatic trans.

The big hit in fuel economy and fuss with trans control make going gas somewhat less attractive. The truck will also retain more resale value with a diesel. You may be better off economically, in the long run, by fixing the diesel...
