Remove diesel fuel smell from carpet & seats
I don't know if this is an appropriate place for this thread, and if it's not it will get moved. Personally I like the smell of diesel fuel. A friend of mine was transporting fuel and spilled some on the carpet and seats. I know, bad idea to transport fuel in the truck, but he wants to get the smell out. Any suggestions?

Call a home heating oil company, they have a white powder you can sprinkle on it.
Looks like Ajax, or borax, or something like that.
My dad gave me some, used it in my boat when working on fuel system.
I remember it was very effective, but I don't remember what it's called.
'97 'Burb K1500 6.5td 213k miles 3.42's Amsoil air filter & 15W40. All synthetic lubes. KD 3.5" exhaust. Clean cat. 16.5 - 17 MPG combined, 18+ hwy at 70. Love her, but never know what's next. Chevy should be paying us.
