    Default 1997 Van ECM

Been a awhile since I posted. I now have a 1997 GMC Savana with a 6.5TD. I am looking to upgrade the ECM as it is kind of gutless compared to my K3500 with the GEP engine.
Can I use an ECM from a 1997 K2500/K3500 pickup with the "F" engine code? Mine has the "F" code engine. Either as a replacement or core to send in?

Where is the ECM located in the Express/Savana vans?

I have the Heath remote PMD mounted behind and low on the front bumper. It was acting up last fall again. It is the second one to starting acting up. Both had about 2+ years on them, and maybe 12,000 miles plus or minus? Any reason this would be happening twice with similar time/miles? I have thought about installing the mechanical pump from my K3500.

Wiring and heat sink are from Heath Diesel as was first PMD. Second PMD I bought at a local diesel shop, and used the conductive grease/gel. The heat sink is mounted on the front bumper. I will check connection on the engine side. Should I add a ground wire to the heat sink?
