Current price of fuel now?

3.34 on average around here, its pretty bad, gas is dropping and maintaining around 2.89 but fuel keeps bouncing couple days ago it was about 3.50.

Now $3.74 in Yakima Wa. I did see $3.91in a out of the way place in the mountains.

$3.299 to $3.479 in Southern Maryland. [20+ miles south of Washington, D.C.] I guess this is the way the marketing guys watch the "Trends" in the automotive arena. They shake up the prices a couple times a year and when the gasoline prices fall everyone breathes a sigh of relief; [thats all the media reports] except the small but growing number diesel owners.
Notice the diesel price never fell at the same rate as the gasoline prices. Since diesels are becoming more popular they just wanted to get the price above gasoline so they can "Change" what used to be the norm. Now that they have succeded we will soon forget that diesel has always been cheaper than gasoline. I doubt the new lower sulpher content has this much effect on the price.
I may be wrong but I think its just a way for the oil companies to make more money on diesel fuel due to the increasing sales of diesel vehicles.

I agree, besides all big rigs which buy in 200-300 gals at a time use diesel, which gives alot more profit.

I'm pissed! I grew up on a farm in northern CA and we have always had diesel pickups. I have watched diesel prices since I was a little kid and remember when diesel was a LOT cheaper than gas. I was mad when diesel hit 3.29 and stayed there all summer down in Bakersfield. But last week it hit 3.59 and has stayed there. Gas prices- 3.13 for supreme and like 2.89 or 99 or something for reg. I just can't believe how much they are profiting from selling diesel at these prices! And people thought gas prices were high.

Just filled up tonight, I only use about a tank full a month in my 97 3/4 ton Suburban. I got fuel at a 7-11 on Rosser Ave., just off I64 in Waynesboro, Virginia for $3.16. Hess and Costal Mart in Waynesboro were $3.25 to $3.29., Next cheapest was the Costal Mart in Greenwood at $3.18.

I guess I am lucky compared to some others, but I have to say that I am giving more and more thought to a WVO conversion kit. With prices going the way they are it would not take long to pay for itself, if I can find a good source for the oil. There is a company in the Senanadoah Valley that picks it up from resturants in the area. I have not done the research with the locals to see if they do it for free or charge for the service yet.

3 weeks ago I was paying 2.89. Then it started to climb. When I filled up yesterday it was 3.13. Same station today was 3.25!!! All the stations around here are in the 3.2x range now. Still less expensive to drive the Waggy with a diesel than a gasser

I am definitely looking at alternatives now. Even running 25% filtered WVO and 75% diesel would be a significant cut in my fuel expense.

I just returned from a trip from my home town, Hemet, Ca to Southern Idaho. The price varied from a low in Cedar City, Utah of $3.19 to a high of $3.79 when I got home to Hemet. OUCH! But my son-in-law's farm is now paying $3.45 a gallon, buying it in 10,000 gallon increments.

Here is what bugs me: In May of this year I made my first trip with my truck. Gas was at $3.40 to $3.60 a gallon in central California while diesel was about $2.85. Now, diesel is significantly higher than gasoline. That was ULS fuel then as it is now. So someone explain to me why the price of diesel moved up so much more than gasoline?

The answer that the industry will tell you is "all the refineries have switched to making heating oil" which keeps them from turning out diesel. Crap I tell you, we need more refineries and Wall Street idiots need to stop with their speculation which is driving the barrel prices through the roof.

It's pretty bad when it seems like the price up on the staions billboard is rolling up faster than the numbers on the pump while your pumping the fuel! It's $3.39 average now in Frederick County, Md. and in Northern Virginia.

Went by a Shell station on I-10 this morning, they've gone from 3.27 last friday, to3.37 on tuesday and 3.39 this morning, wonder what the week-end will bring.
One thing for sure If we don't maintain control of Iraque and keep Iran in its place we'll be paying $1500 a gallon in ten years.

I just saw the sign in front of the Shell CFN (Wasco, CA) yesterday with a price of 3.69 for diesel!! I filled up 2 weeks ago at 3.39 and was pissed then. I am running low on my tank and am now wishing I would have filled up a week ago at 1/2 tank when the price was 3.49.

When are the prices going back DOWN?????!!!!!!!

What are diesel prices in your area?

I have been noticing that the price I am paying for diesel these days has jumped about 60 cent per gallon. I drive by places that are charging $3.69 on the high side to $3.41 on the low end. Just 3 weeks ago I filled up for $2.98 the other day It cost me $3.41 and I think this station was just slow in rising its price because the one down the street was $3.61 the same night.
I am in the Chicago land area so I would expect my prices to be higher, but am wondering what other people are pay in their area?

Now I am wishing I filled up when I complained the price was at 3.69. This is getting rediculous. I'm glad I get 17-18 mpg out of my truck.
