Default Wiring help: '88 Chevy 350 to 6.2L

I have a friend who has an '88 1500 4x4 that came with a 350 TBI. He pulled it out and replaced it with a 6.2L. However, in so doing, he failed to label any of the wires, and has left it up to me to get it running.

Well, we got it running with no issue, but now I'm trying to figure out the alternator wiring. I'm not sure which of the many leftover plugs was for the original alternator. He doesn't have the old alternator, and the one with the 'new' 6.2L uses the older style of plug.

Can anyone tell me which colors of wires would have run to the original alternator? If not, on the 'new' 6.2L, do you know what two wires (besides the main battery feed to the back of the alternator) I need to supply and plug into the top of the alternator?

    Thanks,

    Casey

The way I've done it when rewiring vehicles at work is B+ (from the starter) to the stud on the back of the alternator, and ignition hot to the left terminal (when looking at the rear of the alternator.)
