    Default Missing Allison Info tag

Is there any way to determine the Build Date or Serial Number for an Allison LCT1000 6 speed in a 2010 GMC Sierra? The VIN # is 1GT4K1B62AF107097 (This is the title number, but the tag on the truck is missing the last 7 --worn off or didn't print). I'm asking because the cheap stick on tag is missing from the transmission (great going GM, saved a nickel by eliminating the metal tags)

10 days and no replies? That's unusual.

Maybe one of the admins will jump in here.

Info can be found on your RPO/Build sheet (glove box sticker), but it won't reference actual serial numbers for any component. A full printout can be had from a dealer, but they may not show it, either. You'll need to have a dealer contact a regional service representative to obtain factory build details. Probably not a "free" service, but it's free to ask.
