    Default 6.5 Project goes bust

I'm not going to finish this project and it has to go.

6.5, 599 block with heads, good oil pan, valve covers have some interior rust.

Block is mounted on a heavy duty (1,200 lbs?) engine stand that goes with it.

    $50

Here is a link to the rust condition of this engine:

No shipping, located in Los Angeles. First come, first serve.

Have more parts, will post when I can.

'85 M1009. 350, TH400? Gears probably 3.08? A few dings but that's what Camo paint is for right? Currently unlicensed and being taken apart.

I wish I lived closer... If the block decks have not been planed and the cylinders not bored, it is likely salvageable.

I need a crankshaft - really need a crankshaft, but shipping is a killer. So, save the crank if there is no rust and no scoring on the journals (or sealing surface on the rear of the crank).

If you decide to remove the crank, please ask for advice on how to do it correctly without damaging the journals, and how to prepare it for storage. The journals are so easy to damage... but easy to protect with just a little effort.
