Thread: Stock LB7 vs. LLY?

Anyone seen or done any dyno pulls? or maybe some heavy towing with identical trailers on both rigs? I have a hard time believing the my LLY is putting out more power than the LB7. The transmission seems to be shifting much early as well. I'm starting to wonder if their is something wrong with my new baby.

I have pulled the same trailers at the same time on the same trip. Me driving the LLY and my wife or son driving the LB7. My LB7's get better fuel mileage and will outrun the LLY's going up a hill. I have had several dealers look at the LLY's and all say they can't find anything wrong.

I like my LLY stock with KD 4-5 exhaust compared my LB7 stock with same exhaust, but try to run it hard and it doesn't respond as well. I guess need to upgrade the transmission before I push it any harder.
